fyi - this strange bug " disable rename on OSX, calling 
QInputDialog::getText() in slot causes stuck UI issues"
is in a SLOT under a SIGNAL( customContextMenuRequested( const QPoint & 
) ), not generally in any SLOT.
verified the bug does not happen in Linux & Windows, OSX only.
Used for a right click on a QListWidget to allow users to rename a file.
not critical for somo, just a rarely-used convenience (mostly by me).
I'd create a qt bug, but would need to first create a minimal code 
example that exhibits the issue.
Maybe fixed in qt6... if not, qt developers would at least be more 
responsive to a qt6 bug.
